I made this song for my GCSE, and posted it online previously but was actually not meant to at all, so this can be the legal christening it deserves. It was, I would say, my first ''legit'' piece, just because I spent so much time on it. Everything about this is calculated, and it gave me the drive to complete the first album. It is about death, and reincarnation.
lyrics
under the sea, it's all silent
it's all calm, and not at all violent
until comes along a great white shark
and you're scared for a moment, then it all turns dark
and you wake up alive, but all alone
except for a telephone
and it rings and it rings, and you don't know what to do
rings and it rings, someone's calling for you
you. someone's calling for you.
and you pick up the receiver, and try to take a breath
but instead you inhale a spirit from the depths
the sirens (alive in the telephone)
under the sea, you're on fire
it's like you've been chained to a heretic's pyre
and in your blood is something new
something pure and not wholly you
your corporeal form is evolving
your psyche, slowly dissolving
all memories are going too
your place here is being taken from you
you. it’s being taken from you.
you’re being taken apart
to make someone new
you’re not you anymore
you’re part of something bigger
than you thought before
