the instrumentation doesnt change, i was resigned. strange hurting people collected in a cabin in a quarry, told 'here, here are the blades. and here are the wetstones. and here is what you will cut with them.' and for me it was some kinds of ecstatic freedom and some kinds of deep lonely sadness and like all my jealous imaginings, they didnt settle in any kind of permanent way. none of it ever is.
